Learning Log 7
Finally, it's the end of Romeo and Juliet after weeks of practices. Thinking back, it was tiring and stressful but after it all ends, there is a moment of sadness in my heart. It is like, after long weeks of practices, just ended just like this. Personally, i think that i did not really contributed much as an individual. Our group did not really do well for practicing causing our director to be stressful over small stuffs. It was then after we saw the tears of our director that make us improve. During the actual day, it shocked me when our backdrop collapsed just like a building. But luckily, we managed to fix it back just before the performance. Also, through this performances we learn how to manage our money well, which is very important in the future.
I strongly recommend the next batches of sec2 to go through this kind of experiences. This can really bond students together and it is a better way to make literature more fun.

Learning Log 6
After going through in class about literary devices, I learnt each literary devices are use in a unique and different way. After understanding the literary devices, we were taught to identify the literary devices in a prose and  unseen poem and to state the reason why it was use. For me, i find literary devices hard to understand as i need to find out the special and hidden message in each literary device. Although there is no definite answer, trying to understand it is difficult. To conclude, i find the lesson on literary devices hard and confusing. However, i will try my best learn. More lessons on literary devices should be conduct.

Learning Log 5
An unseen poem or prose passage is something that you never see before and you should at least read the poem/passage twice. As you read, you should pick out the words that are interesting or difficult and when u are answering a question, it is important to use the PEEL method. P for "point", E for "evidence/evidence" and L for "link". Firstly we need to write out the point, followed by elaborating it. Secondly, student should always support his elaboration with an evidence or quotation. Lastly, one should write how is his/her answer linked to the question. Also, we could not copy and paste from the poem/passage. Inverted commas should always be use for quoting and we should only quote phrases that only attract our attention and try to make it short and sweet. Text should always be analysis. By analysing allow us to understand what the author is trying to tell us and it give us a better understanding of the text.

Suggestion
A lesson on the way how unseen poem or prose passage should be conduct to help us even further.

Learning Log 4
As usual, lesson was interesting. Everyone had their Macbeth performance. Though it is quite a rush as many of us are involved in CCAs and SYF. But still, we tried to give in our best. Effort can be shown through the props, costumes and lines spoke. As this is the first time we ever had such a performance, i must say that we can be improved. Some of us were still shy, as usual. This experience is very important as it is help us in our end-of-year performance which is Romeo and Juliet. Through this, we can know that some of our friends are weak in, so that we can help them out. Students like Jia Le and Sanjna, who is not afraid of being laughed at, gave us huge impacts so that we can learn from them.

In a nutshell, this performance was a memorable experience.

Learning Log 3
Another learning log again. This time i think it's going to be a short one as it's a very short 2weeks of learning literature. During the first week, we only did the predictions worksheet as Wednesday had Charity Bazaar and Thursday onwards all the way to Sunday is Chinese New Year and unfortunately the presentation of prediction worksheet is on Monday and because i am absent i missed out lots of things. Still I heard that Monday lesson was about superstitious and predictions and Mrs Woo used a new selector tool which is the Color Selector. This is all i know. Lesson were neutral to me, cause i missed out Monday's lesson, i miss out all the fun. Hope that i do not miss out anymore literature lesson.

Learning Log 2
Superstitious was a creepy lesson~ We learnt a lot of superstitious and some of them is really interesting. Although it may cause some goosebumps, it is worth listening to. Frankly speaking, I'm really wondering if superstitious is real and i found out that it does not have a fix answer to it. It' just whether u believe it or not. While searching, i saw a really interesting article in the internet that attracted me and it is the "666" which is called the satan's number. So, whether all this are true, better be safe than sorry.

Next, about the Macbeth lesson. We started on Macbeth Act 1 Scene 1, and Mrs Woo showed as a video of Macbeth opening which is the 3witches. Also, Mrs woo called out some students to act out the scene and I, who was sabotaged, was chosen. At first, i thought that it's very tough and I'm afraid that i will be laugh at, but Mrs Woo did a demo which was then i realize that "The teacher can do it, why can't I?". Although it may not be my best try as it is human nature to be nervous, it was still a good try. In a nutshell, lesson were very fun.

Term 1 Week 1&2
During the first week, we did not have much of literature lesson as we were spending the first few days knowing each other and decorating the class. But in the second week, we started off with literature learning a type of poem called Cinquain. Basically,Cinquain is a 5-line poem.

Example of Cinquain:
Friendship (title)
Important, Rare (describe title using 2 words - adjective)
Talking, Caring, Sharing (choose 3 words to tell us what the title can do - verb)
Very important to all (choose 4 words that describe feeling about the title)
Awesome (reflection on the title)

In a nutshell, Cinquain is just a 5-line poem that requires own creativity to make it unique and have special meanings.

Comments about lessons
At first, i thought that learning Cinquain will be bored especially when we have new classmate. But in the end, it actually resulted in a fun lesson that everyone enjoys (i guess ^^). The best part about learning the Cinquain is that we worked in groups and came out with creative, unique and special poems.

Suggestions
Although this maybe perfect literature lessons for me, there are always more spaces for improvement. I think that lessons can be improved if everyone is suggesting more idea or giving more examples.
